Converse GET DIRTY Event OOTD

Sometimes you have to GET DIRTY, & that's exactly what I did this past weekend! I attended the Converse GET DIRTY event in Newtown, Johannesburg. And although I didn't wear Converse sneakers, I did get this rad Tee from Zando. It's a men's small but still pretty large on me, but I think I made it work. Besides, it was like 6 degrees so I was happy for the extra fabric hahaha

I had such a great time with my friend Lisa! We danced soooo much it was amazing! There were 3 stages with all sorts of performances by SA's best bands & DJs. And there was even bumper cars!!! Yes - that's how cool this event was! These are just a few snaps we took in the hotel before leaving for the event. Didn't take my kid (camera to you) to the event, I wanted to dance man!!!

Quirky Stylista Boyfriend Jeans

I attended the Elle Magazine & Mr Price Rising Star 2013 blogger session here in Durban. I got to meet & chat with a great group of bloggers from my city. I will be telling you more about the Rising Star competition in a separate post, but for now it's all about my amazing boyfriend jeans from the Quirky Stylista range in Mr Price right now (see here). It is a different shape for me to try, but I am surprisingly loving it. You guys have to check out the range ASAP!

By the way guys, I know these H&M wedges have been featured quite a bit since I got them, but seriously I cannot tell you how much I love them! It really is an obsession!!!

I am off to China tomorrow evening & thought I would post an outfit before I go. Blackcherry Handbags has sent me another lovely handbag (yes! I am totes spoilt by them) & wanted to show it off to you guys! I am hoping I get to at least post while I am there (it would make life so much easier) - however, China does have a firewall for Blogger, Google, Facebook  etc.  Sad I know :( 

Anyway, just an update on a few things that have been happening in my life :) I have been contributing to Stylescoop, & have just started contributing for East Coast Radio too :) And this week I got to chat a bit about it on the radio with Abi Ray. It's getting super busy these days, but I live for this busy, crazy life so you won't hear any complaints from me :)

Valentines Outfit Idea:Colour-Block Dress

This dress is the star of today's outfit post!! I love the combination of lilac & peach in this color block dress & I actually think it compliments my skin tone quite well :) I decided on neutral accessories as the dress is the focus of the look, but I couldn't resist my Rimmel lipstick "Firecracker".  It's been so hot & humid in Durban lately, this dress was such a savior as its so light & makes you instantly feel cool.

This dress is perfect for a casual date, picnic or a lunch / breakfast date on Valentines Day. The colors are on trend, & the silhouette is flattering. If you haven't checked out the Pretty Please website, you absolutely must. They're a local online shop, that stocks women's clothes & accessories. Believing in Shooting Stars

Life & success doesn't just happen, it comes when you go after what you want & you're not afraid to take risks. Im that girl who sees something she wants & immediately puts it on my goals list. 

I am very grateful that this blog is about to reach 200 000 views! It took my loyal & not-so-loyal readers to get here, but it also took me doing what I needed to do in order to make your visit here a fabulously fashionable one! Life is a work-in-progress, and so is this blog. I hope you will continue on this journey with me as it grows & becomes everything I have ever wanted it to be.

Find Your Style with ZANDO

YAY!! Who doesn't love coming home to a few boxes filled with shoes!!! Yesterday was not only my first day back at work, but also a day that I was getting through on 2 hours sleep (Having trouble sleeping of late), & so this lovely surprise was most welcome. 

I was so lucky to WIN a R2 000 voucher to spend at ZANDO on anything I wanted. Their #FindYourStyle campaign was so cool & interactive, I think I might've described my style as being a DIVA. Or something like that. lol. But let's be honest here. I can be a bit of a Diva every now & then so I guess its quite fitting. Well, with the R2000 voucher, I decided to spend it all on shoes.
