The Change Up: H&M 'Leather' Vest

This PU Leather vest has been one of my most worn H&M purchases to date! It is such a versatile piece, I find myself wearing it with soooo much. What do you think of how I've worn it?

I hope you enjoy seeing the different ways I wear an item, because I really do enjoy putting these posts together - not often enough, I know! When you're shopping on a budget, it's important that you get the most wear out of items. So when you are out shopping - bear that in mind. xx

The Change Up: Woolworths White Jeans

White jeans baby!!! I love my Woolworths RE: white jeans, & probably wear them more than my blue jeans! It actually occurred to me that I should try find another pair just like this so that I won't have to worry about these getting old or discoloured!  Hope you guys enjoy seeing the different ways I have worn these jeans! We have some white on white, some monochromatic black & white, & we have colour! I'd say that's something for everyone!

Here are each of the individual looks:

The Change Up: Cobalt Cotton On Blouse

Yay!! Not only is cobalt my color right now, but I am loving this Cotton On blouse too! I bought it in Hong Kong last September, & I've worn it more times than I can count!! So here are a few ways I have worn it on the blog.

Looks 1 & 3 are the same clothes accessories differently, but I still thought it's important to include both. Theres lots of colour at play here, but as I've been mentioning on twitter & Facebook, I am now absolutely comfortable wearing color! And just  for just but how pale do I look in Look 4!!! Thank heavens I'm a bit more tan now :)

Here are each of the individual looks:

Lady in RED

Dress (LEGIT) | Wedges (H&M) | Faux leather vest (H&M) | Sunglasses (Spitfire) |
Armcandy (Sass Diva / YDE / China) | Pearl earrings (Sass Diva) | Studded clutch (Hong Kong)

According to LEGIT, I look good in RED, & if you follow me on instagram (@brettrobson), you would've seen me post a special note from the team over at Legit not so long ago. How they picked out a dress that is so me?! I have no idea, but from the moment I opened the beautifully packaged box I was excited.

With the color & asymmetrical neckline being the stars of the show, this dress is a statement on its own.  However I still thought it would be fun to add the leather vest (YES! I am obssessed with it.) to add a certain edgyness to it. You get me right?

The Change Up: Floral Dress

New Project Alert!!! If you follow my blog, you will often see pieces being repeated. I never just wear something once (unless I don't like it very much). That being said, I thought "The Change Up" project could be a great way for all of you to see the various ways you can style 1 item of clothing.

Today's Change Up features this floral dress from Milla @ YDE. Its so funny that in each of the above looks, I am also wearing a vintage necklace, twice a necklace & once as a bracelet.

For each looks details, see here:

How to accessorise a White Skirt + Leopard Print Top???

Leopard is a chameleon of a print. It can be sexy and sultry, ultra trendy or even professional. Pair leopard print with a white skirt, and you've put the perfect summer twist on this staple. But now, what to wear for shoes? Switching up the color of your shoes is the perfect way to take this outfit from day to night.

BLACK
To make a leopard print top and white skirt work at the office or for a more dressed-up evening affair, go with simple black. A black pump will always work, but for a business casual office, black flats can work as well. Keep texture in mind, too. Patent leather adds polish to your look.
?

TAN

Tan or nude shoes are a stylist's favorite for creating the illusion of long legs. Since leopard print often has dozens of shades from white to deep brown, no matter your skin color, shoes that match your tone will almost definitely match your leopard print, too. That makes nude-colored shoes the perfect complement to this look. Like black, this shoe color is good for the office, but will have a more understated effect than stark, professional black.

BRIGHTS

When you want a trendier look -- say, for a night out, a weekend event or an especially hip workplace -- go with jewel or citrus tones. An orange sandal is perfect to play all day, while a turquoise pump says, "I'm here to party." Red, purple and emerald green are also great options. Pick up on the same color in your accessories or choose another contrasting tone. Below you will see that I opted for red. You gotta love this!

HOW NOT TO WEAR THIS LOOK...

One leopard element in your outfit: hip, trendy or even classic. Two? Tacky. Steer clear of another animal print -- whether leopard, cheetah, zebra or giraffe. Occasionally this look works on the runway, but unless you're an off-duty model or a celebrity, the multiple animal prints look is hard to pull off in the real world. So don't try it!
