I went GAGA for GAGA

 

Seeing Lady Gaga live was one of the most amazing experiences of my life!!! What a performer!? There was so much hype around her coming to South Africa, and controversy too. There were people calling her satanic; protesting against her visiting our beautiful country, claiming that she could brainwash us. HAHAHAHA silly, bored people.

 

Unfortunately for me, Lady Gaga didn't perform in my city, so I had to travel to Johannesburg to see her. It actually turned out to be quite a fun experience. Lol. Being the somewhat anti-social creature that I am, I quite like the idea that I'm not going to see anyone I might know. And I actually didn't.

 

Gaga's little monsters, including myself really had fun with out costumes. I saw some awesome looks, & I know lots of people loved my look too - people stared & asked to take my picture enough to convince me of that. I had originally wanted to wear the Yellow all-in-one with Mickey heads on it from the Paparazzi music video, but Ive been crazy busy of late, and so had to make the top I'm wearing very last minute. I think it turned out ok. What do you think?

Terry Richardson is an international celebrity as well as one of the most prolific and compelling photographers of his generation. Known for his uncanny ability to cut to the raw essence of whomever appears before his lens, Mr. Richardson's vision is at once humorous, tragic, often beautiful, and always provocative.

The New York native has shot for major fashion magazines, French Vogue & Harper's Bazaar. And let's not forget all the celebrities, models & designers he has shot too: Tom Ford, Karl Lagerfeld, Jay Z, Jared Leto (pictured above) & Kate Moss to name a few.

My favourite photographs are the ones where Terry has his subject put on his glasses & imitate him.

I have to say, when I first saw the pictures below I was shocked to say the least. And the one question running through my mind was: "Would people actually wear this?"

 

Then I thought, OK. Stupid question. Lady Gaga would so wear these. They actually would've been perfect for her Judas music video.

What do you think about the concept of shoes with a crucifix as a heel?

Lady GaGa covers Harpers Bazaar May 2011 issue

Pop icon Lady Gaga covers the May 2011 issue of Harper's Bazaar magazine which will be in stores very soon. Miss Gaga speaks about plastic surgery & what it is to be an artist.

She tells the magazine "I have never had plastic surgery, and there are many pop singers who have. I think that promoting insecurity in the form of plastic surgery is infinitely more harmful than an artistic expression related to body modification." Well Gaga, what's up with the cheek bones or whatever that it on your face? Is that not harmful artistic expression? Don't get me wrong here, I am a huge Gaga fan. I love her. She says plastic surgery is bad, but is her modifying her body with the cheek bone & shoulder  stuff good? I don't think so. I think that too is sending the wrong message to her fans, & may even lead to people wanting to look like her. She was so not "Born this way".
