Louis Vuitton's delicious SS '12 Ad Campaign***
You have simply got to love how designer brand Louis Vuitton manages to pump out fantastic ad campaigns & collections each season. There's no doubt Louis Vuitton's Spring/Summer 2012 showcase was one of the major highlights of last season's catwalk rounds. It has been said that an audible gasp rippled through the front row when a full-sized carousel was unveiled, with 48 models perched a-top the horses. To top it off, Kate Moss closed the show wearing a frothy white frock with a ladylike head band.
So what a treat to see the brand's campaign continuing the show's dreamy prettiness. The setting of a girly ice cream parlour is a world away from the gritty realities of budgets and employment figures and debt crises and recession, which is exactly why I love it. In fact, the retro vibe, created by photographer Steven Meisel, reminds us of the merriness of '50s films like 'Grease' with Daria Strokous and Kati Nescher perched on pink seats like a couple of Disney Tinkerbells.
The two up-and-coming models showcase Marc Jacobs' delicious confections, from the Lockit and Speedy bags in crocodile skin to the demure and delicate dresses with multi-coloured court shoes. To add to the super-sweetness, there's a smattering of sundaes adorned with swirly candy just waiting to be gobbled up.
Yummy!!! Fashion never looked soooo delicious!!!
